Who we are
We’re Laura and Jonny — a husband-and-wife photography and film team based in Yorkshire, working across the UK to document weddings in a natural, unobtrusive way.
Our approach is rooted in observation rather than direction. We’re there to notice what’s already happening and to photograph and film the day as it feels, without staging or interruption. Nothing forced, nothing directed — just a calm, consistent presence that allows the day to be experienced as it naturally happens.
Working together means photography and videography are approached as one. The aim is always to create a cohesive record of the day, where still images and moving footage sit comfortably together and reflect the same atmosphere, light and sense of place.
A quiet, documentary approach
Most of the couples we work with aren’t looking for direction. They want to spend time with the people they love, and trust that the important moments will be noticed and captured without having to think about the camera.
We’ll offer gentle guidance before your wedding so that on the day itself you can be as present as possible. We don’t bring large teams or complicated lighting setups, and we tend to work with natural light wherever possible so that each setting feels true to itself.
Working across the UK
Although we’re based in Yorkshire, we photograph and film weddings throughout the UK each year. Many of the celebrations we document take place in historic houses, private estates and characterful venues where the setting plays a meaningful part in the day.
From stately homes and countryside estates to city venues and smaller gatherings, the focus is always the same — to create a thoughtful, lasting record that reflects both the atmosphere and the people within it.

Hollie & Aaron | Charlton Hall
Weddings are layered with emotion. They tell stories of love, joy, and connection. This recent wedding at Charlton Hall in Northumberland was a beautiful reflection of that. Held in April beneath soft, overcast skies, the light set a gentle, atmospheric tone throughout the day.

Why We Don’t Use Flash at Weddings
One of the questions we’re often asked is whether we use flash for wedding photography and film. It’s a fair question — and an important one — because how light is handled has a real impact not just on how photographs and films look, but on how a wedding feels while it’s unfolding.
