Heirloom Wedding Film Yorkshire : Documentary Wedding Videography with Voice & Interviews

A more personal way of documenting the day.

Our heirloom films bring together the real moments of your day with the voices of the people closest to you.

Alongside filming everything as it happens, we incorporate short interviews and voice recordings — creating something that feels more personal than a traditional wedding film.

What it is

As well as filming your day, we invite a small number of people — often our couples and a few close family or friends — to share their thoughts and feelings.

These aren’t scripted or overly formal. Just a few words, shared in their own time, in their own way.

These interviews are then woven into the film, sitting alongside the touchstone moments of the day.

Why it feels different

Most wedding films show how a day looked.

This is about how it felt — and what it meant.

The interviews bring a different kind of depth:

❋ the perspective of the people closest to you
❋ the details you might not otherwise hear
❋ the quiet, unfiltered moments of reflection
❋ a record of your loved ones voices

Alongside the photography

The photographs capture the day; the moments, the atmosphere and the details as they were.

The heirloom film sits alongside this, adding context and voice.

Together, they form a more complete memory of the day.

It’s not about creating something more elaborate, but something more personal.

How we approach it

Our role remains the same.

We work quietly, without directing or staging moments, allowing the day to move as it naturally would.
The interviews are simple and unobtrusive, and everything is edited afterwards with care — so nothing ever feels forced or out of place.

What it becomes

Over time, this is often the piece people return to most.

Not just to see the day again, but to hear it — the voices, the tone, the small things that might otherwise fade.
Something that has meaning not just now, but years to come.

“We chose to have the heirloom film and it was everything I wanted and more.

This included short interviews with family and friends. We will treasure those moments forever, as it features the people that matter to us most beautifully. The essence of the day was captured perfectly. We looked through the photos and watched this with family on its return and there was not a dry eye in the room. It was like reliving the wedding all over again.”

A quiet option

Not every couple will feel drawn to this, and that’s completely fine.

But if having something more personal, more reflective feels important to you, we’re always happy to talk it through and see if it fits.
